No
electrolytic capacitors are
applied which is a unique feature
comparing to available electronic
ballasts on the market providing
increased reliability and longer
life time at higher temperature
range (>65°C).
With
relatively low component cost
increase, the efficiency can go
up to 97%, therefore, if it
requested, by applying high
temperature grade components
(expensive), the ambient
temperature can go up to 90 -
100°C, thus opens up
applications which are presently
unimaginable for available
electronic ballasts (about
65°C).
Extremely
low
SPR
(relative high frequency
harmonics of the lamp power
spectrum) guaranties the acoustic
resonance free operation and very
low high frequency radiation
The
output current is zero(!)
under short circuit, and remains
zero for an arbitrary time
interval. Releasing the short
circuit the ballast starts
automatically.
Almost
instant hot reignition can be
achieved if requested without
expensive extra ignition
unit.
Dimming
steps can be increased if
requested from two steps to
several steps (3 -4).
If
the line voltage drops to
160V for a short time, the
ballast keeps the lamp alive
avoiding several minutes "dark"
startup.
