These
low cost but high efficient, dimmable
electronic ballasts for HPS lamps
belong to the high frequency piecewise

These
ballasts are excellent choice for
industrial and commercial
applications where high efficacy
and reliability is desired but color
rendering is not a priority. Since HPS
lamps are dimmable down to 30%, if full
light intensity is not always required
then significant energy saving can
be achieved by the built in dimming
capability of the ballast providing a
simple control of several
lamps.
